SVKM Mandal can well be proud of its qualitative,
quantitative achievements and its services in the field of education for many
years now. SHRI VILE PARLE KELAVANI MANDAL commenced its educational endeavor
by converting Rashtriya Shala and developing it into a full- fledged primary
and secondary school. The school was named after Smt. Goklibai Punamchand
Pitamber who gave the Mandal a generous donation of Rs. 50,000/-
A large building on a spacious plot of land was inaugurated
by the then Chief Minister and Minister of Education Shri. Balasaheb Kher.
Technical and commerce subjects were introduced in the
school in the mid-fifties, thereby virtually making it a multipurpose school.
The primary wing of the school was handed over to the Bombay Municipal
Corporation in 1954. Subsequently, the school has developed into a full-
fledged primary school. This institution is now known as “SHRI MANILAL VADILAL
NANAVATI PRATHMIK SHALA”.
The secondary school today works in two shifts. Grade 8-10 work
in the morning shift Grade 5-7 work in the afternoon shift. We have airy and well maintained classrooms.
The students also enjoy reading at the well maintained library. They learn
information technology at the computer lab. We also have remedial classes and
extra coaching which facilitates student learning.
